![]() by Jeff Lee There are several keys to writing good ad copy. You MUST communicate with your customer! Be peppy. Use power words. The most important thing with ad copy is to make sure that you communicate with your customer. Use easy to understand words and phrases. Keep it simple! Instead of writing: In order to receive fungible currency for a tiny sum, I ask for the pleasure of your world wide web visit. Please use your web browser software to join me in an endeavour at http://go.to/earn-freemoney Of course this is an exageration, but the point is clear. If your ad copy is too sophisticated sounding, people will stop reading! They will go somewhere else on the web without another thought. To prevent this, keep the vocabulary of your copy simple and keep the sentences short. Another benefit of short sentences is that it adds pep to your copy. It makes it lively! Fun! Energetic! People don't like to be bored while reading, and especially while they are reading advertisements. So do your audience a favor, make it interesting! Don't make your advertisment, long and droning. If you saw an ad that was 2 pages of solid text without any line breaks, would you read it? Of course not! So don't to that to your reader. Keep your ad copy short enought so that they are not immediately turned off by its length. Use plenty of line breaks! White space makes the ad copy look shorter and more appealing. Even if your copy is long, it will look much more inviting to read than a solid block of text. The reader will feel like they are quickly flowing through your copy, compelling them to reader further. Involve your audience! Use words such as: I, You, Me, We, Us. Your copy will seem more personal and more likely to appeal to your customer. Make sure that the ad copy provides some sort of clear benefit. Which ad copy is more likely to hook you? #1) Money making program. http://go.to/earn-freemoney #2) YOU can earn $100 a week with no effort! Join NOW! http://go.to/earn-freemoney The second ad of course! The first ad provides the reader with no direct benefit. It says "money making program," but it's not very clear what you get from this program, or even what the ad wants from you. The second ad is very clear, it tells YOU that you can earn $100 a week. Remember! Involve your audience! Tell them what's in it for them! Call your audience to action! Ask them to do something. Tell them to JOIN NOW! or CLICK HERE! or BUY TODAY! Your audience is much more likely to do something if you tell them to do it. So start using those action verbs! Use power words! Nothing catches more attention than the word FREE! Give away some sort of freebie in your ad copy, whether it's a free gift, sample, or even a report. Writing great copy can make your ads sell, sell, sell! So utilize these effective tricks and make your profits soar! *Jeff Lee runs the Free Money Resource, http://go.to/earn-freemoney, devoted to listing and reviewing FREE money opportunities on the web.
